Theona Zurabashvili holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA). During her studies at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, she completed an internship at the Quality of Government Institute (QoG), one of the leading organizations in the field of corruption research. Theona was a recipient of the Swedish Institute Scholarship (2018–2020), a Swedish government-funded scholarship program for young professionals.
Throughout her career, Theona Zurabashvili has worked in both the public and non-governmental sectors. Her current professional interests include good governance, corruption and anti-corruption mechanisms, and the development of political parties in transitional democracies.
Theona Zurabashvili regularly collaborates with prominent international organizations engaged in policy research, contributing her expertise on these and other related topics.
