Ivanishvili’s regime has launched yet another wave of repression, targeting Georgia’s Future Academy alongside four other Georgian non-governmental organizations.

Razhden Kuprashvili’s bureau, operating under the regime’s authority, is demanding—in Putin’s Russia style—that we surrender absolutely all data related to our organization’s activities. This includes the names, surnames, personal identification numbers, photographic and video materials, and other personal data of thousands of participants in our programs: underage school students, university students, young professionals, and election observers.

It is evident that this latest repressive measure targets free citizens and organizations committed to living in a free and democratic Georgia.

Georgia’s Future Academy has never complied with Russian-style laws in the past, nor do we intend to adapt to the repressive environment created by Ivanishvili’s regime. Any form of cooperation with this regime is categorically unacceptable to us, including the surrender of organizational or personal data of any kind. We will employ every legal avenue available to defend the rights of our beneficiaries and Georgia’s European future.
